A FaceBook rider's words about skate/bike love
Local rider Jim Johnson airing the hip
Ed Phillips chasing a skateboarder.
An interesting post by a fellow rider from FaceBook...
Jason A.: Skaters have always been like flies. Constantly dropping in on ya because they are smaller and able to change direction quicker, hanging out in the flats, hanging out on the hips, leaving their shit everywhere, not taking runs one at a time, don't give a fuck about what you think, and when they gather together in groups numbering more than four it'... Read Mores almost guaranteed that one have a bad bearing that combined with the sound of all the wheels sounds like buzzing wings.
Bikers have always been like locusts. We roll in unexpectedly, hit everything all at once, leave our shit everywhere, drop in on anyone because most of the time we are bigger and faster than the one being dropped in upon, don't give a fuck about what you think, and if we gather in a group numbering more than four the buzzing of the freewheels combined with the humming of the tires is like the sound of a swarm. · We are all pests. General society has slowly come to accept us only from a distance, or where it can make money off of our activities, but we have come to hold respect and love for one another. So I don't care if a skater/biker drops in on me. As long as he or she is having a good time I don't give a shit..... Unless they do it repeatedly ;)"
